BURLINGTON, VT - In his inaugural speech this January, Gov. Peter Shumlin said employers cannot find enough qualified workers and that students need to be better trained for high-tech jobs. A new partnership at UVM aims to solve that problem. It expands internship opportunities for students in engineering, computer science, mathematics and statistics.

Chip Cole is the interim dean at UVM's College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences. Sam Catalano is a UVM graduate who got a job as a result of the internship program. They appeared on The :30 to talk about the program.
